About Me

Skylar Carfi is an Artist and Graphic Designer from the shoreline of Connecticut. She loves creating, and working with her hands, particularly when she can learn and apply new and interesting techniques. She also enjoys the challenge of problem solving, when it comes to design and layout. She gets great satisfaction from organizing and arranging information with visuals.

Skylar graduated from Manhattanville College in 2014 with a Bachelors of Fine Art. Her studies included Studio Art with a concentration in digital media, and a minor in Communication Studies. Skylar's most notable role has been working for an online arts program called Starry Night, where she grew from a graphic design intern into an integral part of the Starry Night Team. She continued doing graphic design, but also wore many hats including, program assistant, publications manager, Exposure Program coordinator for 2016, and many more. She has since moved on to work in a small scale print shop where she created all graphic design needs for customers including marketing marketing materials and personal stationary items.

Currently, Skylar works in printing - indulging in the administrative side of her personality and helping clients produce their marketing material.

In addition to graphic design, Skylar enjoys creating her own original art using a digital collage method. She uses digital photography and hand drawings or paintings to create her work. Creating symmetry is possibly her favorite activity, which is clear with the presence of mirror images and double exposures in her creations.
